Trick R Treat (2007) Spoiler Free
Has it really taken me 7 years to check this out...Man I'm ashamed.
As Horror Anthologies go this is truly the 'Pulp Fiction' of Horror ( a quote by Ryan Turek from the The Bloodcast Podcast...not Mine Lol) and the reason it's described in that manner is because it follows the characters of the story around in the same style of 'Pulp Fiction'.
Throughout all stories there is one similar individual that appears who is 'Sam', A creature that appears as a regular Kid in a Halloween costume who punishes those who dishonour the traditions of Halloween. A Principal, A revisit to a school bus massacre, A surprise party in the woods and a surprise visitor for a moody old Man, All of these people are connected in each story in one factor or another as each story continues to unfold.

It seems that anthologies are making their way back to the horror scene with the likes of V/H/S and The ABC's of Death and it's movies like 'Trick r Treat' that show why as it's arguably one of the best Horror Anthology movies in a long time. I just cannot believed that it took as long as it did to be released publicly, it has so many good twists and scares, theirs a lot of humour too and some of the performances are great...Especially from Dylan Baker and Brian Cox ( I liked Anna Paquin but for 'personal' reasons ) I highly recommend you check this out and I am very pleased to hear that their is gonna be a sequel too so hopefully we won't have to wait too long for the next instalment of what I believe to be a great franchise in The genre.
